the MARTINI SHAKER: Trees they can’t find!

I'm not sure why they chose this guy either but one thing that bugs me the most is how the commercial is dissing people within a certain income bracket. They are being so bold as to try to sell stuff to a demographic that they are simultaneously poking fun of.

I am equally puzzled by the "Dollar Menunaires" campaign. Saying uncool things deliberately doesn't make them any less uncool. Also, am I supposed to know who Jeremy Miller is? "Cause even his IMDB listing is leaving me drawing a blank.

You took the time to not only watch the ad (a million times by your count) but write about it, and embed the video of the ad.

I am a TIVO user and have never seen the ad... until watching it on your blog.

I don't know much about advertising, but if an ad can get someone who hates the ad to watch a million times, and someone who doesn't watch ads at all to see it.... that is probably successful by some measures.

Successful in exposure, yes... but successful in proper communication of the idea, not quite. Chris hits the nail on the head as far as what the major flaw of this spot is.

This is just another example of a long string of McD's not having any clue who to talk to or how. Great points on this bummer of a campaign.

Jeremy Miller played Ben Seaver on the 80's t.v. show Growing Pains. He's one of the kid actors from that era that didn't really get much work after that series ended. Maybe that's why he's in the ad.

I've hung out with him before. He's a nice guy.

I thought the same thing about "Steve Burns":http://www.steveswebpage.com/... the guy who was on Blues Clues. I hung out with him one night at a bar in Oklahoma City. Pretty decent dude.

I'm not buying the if people are talking about it and posting stuff about it, it must be good.

It's not good and it's fun to talk about how not good it is. I don't know what specific products they're talking about and I don't even remember the prices I just know it wasn't good.

    Steve Burns is a genius.
