the MARTINI SHAKER: The Mysterious City

Funny... I had a conversation with my Grandma over the holidays about this kind of thing. In the town where I grew up (central Kansas), rumors would occasionally surface about an "underground Main Street", replete with sidewalks, storefronts, etc. I remembered seeing stairs (which are gone now) leading below street level on side streets along Main Street, which would lend credence to those rumors.

Turns out, they were true (at least partially). The underground network of "storefronts" were originally built to store coal for heating and the stairs presumably served as easy access points, although I suspect there was a larger underground delivery network.

This could be the kind of the thing the video is referencing...
