the MARTINI SHAKER: Details matter

Jeremy - Thanks for your reflections on the Howard Hughes. You are right, small touches make all the difference.

I ordered the Howard Hughes because of the novel description.

As I recall, the bright yellow raw sugar was described as "gold dust", another subtle reference to Hughes' wealth. I took the addition of hazelnut flavoring to be a reference to his eccentricity.

Really, even the classifications of the drinks, economy, business and first class shows attention to detail.

(The cookies and pastries are awesome too)

Yes, gold dust. Shortly after writing this I went back in and looked at the menu to see exactly what the yellow sugar was for.

If you haven't tried the Mexican Mocha, I'd highly recommend it.

And, I've taken a lunch preference to MAC over Souperman. They make great turkey sandwiches.

Thanks for bringing MAC to our attention.
They use Vivace coffee for their espresso drinks!!!
For coffee-heads it doesn't get much better than that....
